SY Venture has good straw strength characteristics; with good resistance to lodging, leaning and necking. SY Venture also has shorter straw than existing market leading malting barley varieties.
In normal situations consider:
GS31-32 ~ Moddus 0.2 lt/ha + chlormequat 1.25 lt/ha at onset of stem extension.
In extreme conditions when there is a high risk of lodging on fertile sites consider applying
Ethephon + Mepiquat chloride at 0.5 lt/ha GS37.
