PROPERTIES OF SPYRALE
SPYRALE is a systemic fungicide for use on all varieties of sugar beet and fodder beet.
SPYRALE has a protective action. For best results, use SPYRALE as a preventative treatment, or at least as soon as the first symptoms of disease are seen.

RESTRICTIONS
The possible development of diseases resistant to SPYRALE cannot be excluded or predicted.
Where such resistant strains occur, SPYRALE may not give satisfactory control and no responsibility can be accepted for any loss incurred.

DISEASES CONTROLLED
Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe betae)
Rust (Uromyces betae)
Ramularia beticola
Cercospera Leaf Spot (Cercospera beticola)

TIMING
Powdery Mildew
Apply SPYRALE at the start of mildew development, before the disease becomes established.
SPYRALE gives prolonged protection from re-infection, but a second application can be applied where crops are at risk from later attacks.

Rust
Apply SPYRALE at the first signs of rust infection, before the disease becomes established.
SPYRALE gives prolonged protection from re-infection, but a second application can be applied if necessary.

Ramularia and Cercospera Leaf Spot
Apply SPYRALE at the first signs of the disease, before it becomes established. SPYRALE gives prolonged protection from re-infection, but a second application can be applied where crops are at risk from later attacks.

RATES OF USE
Apply SPYRALE at 1.0 litre per hectare.
Two applications may be made per crop.
Do not apply before BBCH growth stage 31 (i.e. rosette growth).

MIXING AND SPRAYING
Spray Volume
Apply SPYRALE in at least 200 litres of water per hectare. Use a higher volume of water, 200–300 litres per hectare for the treatment of dense crops to ensure a good penetration to the lower leaves and stem bases.

Spray Nozzles
A medium quality spray (as defined by The British Crop Protection Council) is preferred for application of SPYRALE. A spray pressure of 2–3 bar is recommended.

Mixing
Make sure the sprayer is clean and set to give an even application at the correct volume.

Fill the spray tank with half the required volume of clean water and start agitation. Add the required amount of SPYRALE and continue agitation whilst adding the rest of the water.

Agitate the mixture thoroughly before use and continue agitation during spraying and any stoppages.

Thoroughly wash all spray equipment with water immediately after use.

Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (such as during meal breaks or overnight).

PROTECT FROM FROST
STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Engineering control of operator exposure must be used where reasonably practicable in addition to the following personal protective equipment:

WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS) when applying the product.
WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING (COVERALLS) AND SUITABLE PROTECTIVE GLOVES when handling contaminated surfaces.
However engineering controls may replace personal protective equipment if a COSHH assessment shows they provide an equal or higher standard of protection.
WASH SPLASHES from skin or eyes immediately.
WASH ALL PROTECTIVE CLOTHING thoroughly after use, especially the inside of gloves.
TAKE OFF IMMEDIATELY all contaminated clothing.
AFTER CONTACT WITH SKIN OR EYES, WASH IMMEDIATELY with plenty of water.
