WILDLIFE, MAMMALS AND BIRDS
WILDLIFE
FUBOL GOLD WG is not classified as ‘Harmful to game, wild birds and animals’.
MAMMALS AND BIRDS
No risk management necessary to protect wild mammals and birds. FUBOL GOLD WG is of moderate toxicity to mammalian and bird species. The risk to wild mammals and birds grazing in treated areas is low, as is the risk due to exposure from other routes e.g consumption of earthworms or other invertebrates such as insects.
BEES
No risk management is necessary. FUBOL GOLD WG is of low risk to honey bees.
NON-TARGET INSECTS AND OTHER ARTHROPODS
No risk management is necessary. FUBOL GOLD WG poses a low risk to a range of arthropods commonly found in and around treated fields.
AQUATIC LIFE
FUBOL GOLD WG is classified as ‘Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment’.
Metalaxyl-M is of high toxicity to fish and aquatic life, so care should be taken to minimise drift when applying FUBOL GOLD WG next to shallow ponds, ditches or slow flowing streams. Care must be taken to ensure that surface waters or ditches are not contaminated with the product or the used container.
Risk management is not necessary. When FUBOL GOLD WG is used according to label instructions there will not be sufficient contamination of water to present a risk to aquatic life.
FUBOL GOLD WG is not categorised under the LERAP scheme.
SOIL AND GROUNDWATER, EARTHWORMS AND SOIL MICRO-ORGANISMS
SOIL AND GROUNDWATER
Mancozeb is impersistent in soil, and has low mobility in soil. Metalaxyl-M has moderate persistence and high mobility in soil. Use of FUBOL GOLD WG according to label recommendations presents a low risk to groundwater. No risk management necessary.
EARTHWORMS
FUBOL GOLD WG is of moderate toxicity to earthworms. However, at recommended application rates, the risk to earthworm populations is low. No risk management is necessary.
SOIL MICRO-ORGANISMS
FUBOL GOLD WG is unlikely to have any long-term effect on soil microbial activity, therefore the risk is considered to be low. No risk management is necessary.
NON-TARGET PLANTS
No effects on non-target plant species are expected when using FUBOL GOLD WG in accordance with the label.
ALWAYS READ THE LABEL: USE PESTICIDES SAFELY
Care must be taken to minimise the risk of surface water contamination from farmyard and field sources.
