High gross output and strong autumn vigour
Status: HGCA Recommended List Candidate, North region
Very high gross output in the north
BOHEME has a higher gross output than any fully-Recommended conventional variety on the North Region HGCA Recommended List 2012/13.
And with a high oil content of 45.4%, it provides a real opportunity to drive profitability by capturing high oil bonus payments.
Outstanding autumn vigour and winter hardiness
In trials and growers’ experience Boheme has consistently put down exceptional autumn rooting, producing plants that have been better able to withstand cold and wet winter conditions. Boheme is also available with Cruiser OSR seed treatment, which is well-known for promoting early vigour and strong plant establishment.
In last year’s on-farm variety trials near Buckie in Morayshire, Boheme was the highest yielding oilseed rape crop at 5.5 t/ha - 0.6 tonnes above the average for 2011, the highest yielding crop for six years and a tonne more than the farm’s long-term average yield in oilseed rape trials.

“We have seen Boheme’s vigour in successive seasons, so clearly it is a varietal factor.
No matter what the winter brings it gives us more confidence that the crop will withstand the conditions and effects of pest damage.”
