FUNGICIDES

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

An SC formulation containing 200 g/litre azoxystrobin, a strobilurin fungicide, and 125 g/l difenoconazole, an azole fungicide, for use in carrots and leeks, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli/calabrese, kale (winter greens) and collards (spring greens).

Maximum application rate: 1 litre per hectare
Maximum no. of applications: 2 per crop

WILDLIFE, MAMMALS AND BIRDS
WILDLIFE

AMISTAR TOP is not classified as ‘Harmful to game, wild birds and animals’.

MAMMALS AND BIRDS

No risk management is necessary to protect wild mammals and birds. AMISTAR TOP is of low toxicity to both mammals and birds. The risk to wild mammals and birds feeding on treated areas is low due to the limited amount of residues likely to be consumed.

BEES
No risk management is necessary. AMISTAR TOP is of low risk to honey bees.

NON-TARGET INSECTS AND OTHER ARTHROPODS
No risk management is necessary. AMISTAR TOP poses a low risk to a range of arthropod species commonly found in and around treated fields.

AQUATIC LIFE
AMISTAR TOP is classified as ‘Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.’

No risk management is necessary. AMISTAR TOP is highly toxic to fish and aquatic life. However, in practice the risk to aquatic life is low if used as recommended. Care should be taken to ensure that surface waters or ditches are not contaminated with the product or used container.

AMISTAR TOP is not categorised under the LERAP scheme.

SOIL AND GROUNDWATER, EARTHWORMS AND SOIL MICRO-ORGANISMS
SOIL AND GROUNDWATER

Difenoconazole is very persistent in soil. It is strongly absorbed to soil and not considered as mobile. Azoxystrobin is moderately persistent, and has moderate mobility in soil. Use of AMISTAR TOP according to the label instruction presents a low risk to groundwater.

EARTHWORMS

AMISTAR TOP is of moderate toxicity to earthworms. No risk management is necessary as the risk to earthworms is low.

SOIL MICRO-ORGANISMS

AMISTAR TOP is unlikely to have any long-term effect on soil microbial activity. The risk is therefore considered to be low. No risk management is necessary.

NON-TARGET PLANTS
No effects on non-target plant species are expected when AMISTAR TOP is used as recommended.

ALWAYS READ THE LABEL: USE PESTICIDES SAFELY

Care must be taken to minimise the risk of surface water contamination from farmyard and field sources.
