FUNGICIDES

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

A suspo-emulsion formulation containing 100 g/litre azoxystrobin (a strobilurin fungicide), and 280 g/litre fenpropimorph (a morpholine fungicide) for the control of arange of diseases in wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale.
Maximum application rate:2litres/product/hectare
Maximum no. of applications: 2 per crop
(NB: A maximum of two applications of any Qol product is allowed on any cereal crop)

WILDLIFE, MAMMALS AND BIRDS
WILDLIFE

AMISTAR PRO is not classified as ‘Harmful to game, wild birds and mammals’.

MAMMALS AND BIRDS

No risk management is necessary to protect wild mammals and birds. AMISTAR PRO is of low toxicity to mammals and birds, therefore it will pose a low risk to grazing mammals e.g. rabbits, hares and deer that may consume recently treated weeds or other mammals living in or around treated fields, as is the risk due to exposure from other routes e.g. consumption of earthworms or other invertebrates such as insects.

BEES
No risk management is necessary. AMISTAR PRO is of low risk to honey bees.

NON-TARGET INSECTS AND OTHER ARTHROPODS
No risk management is necessary. AMISTAR PRO poses a low risk to the range of arthropod species commonly found in and around treated fields.

AQUATIC LIFE
AMISTAR PRO is classified as ‘Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects
in the aquatic environment’.
AMISTAR PRO is of high toxicity to fish and aquatic life, so care should be taken to minimise drift
when applying AMISTAR PRO next to shallow ponds, ditches or slow flowing streams. Care must
be taken to ensure that surface waters are not contaminated with the product or used container.
No risk management is necessary. When used according to the label instructions there will not be
sufficient contamination of water to present a risk to aquatic life.

SOIL AND GROUNDWATER, EARTHWORMS AND SOIL MICRO-ORGANISMS
SOIL AND GROUNDWATER

Fenpropimorph is moderately persistent in soil and is strongly absorbed to soil, and is therefore not mobile. Azoxystrobin is moderately persistent, and is moderately mobile in soil. No risk management is necessary. Use of AMISTAR PRO according to label recommendations presents a low risk to groundwater.


EARTHWORMS
AMISTAR PRO is of low toxicity to earthworms. However, at recommended application rates, the
risk to earthworm populations is low. No risk management is necessary.


SOIL MICRO-ORGANISMS

AMISTAR PRO is unlikely to have any long-term effect on soil microbial activity, therefore the risk is considered to be low. No risk management necessary.

NON-TARGET PLANTS
When used as directed AMISTAR PRO is not expected to have adverse effects on non-target plants.

ALWAYS READ THE LABEL: USE PESTICIDES SAFELY
Care must be taken to minimise the risk of surface water contamination from farmyard and field sources.
