A provisional rating in the Euroblight assessment of blight fungicides gives recently introduced Revus (mandipropamid) the highest rating for effectiveness in protecting leaf blight. In an additional listing of all blight products, compiled by European blight specialist, Dr Huub Schepers, Revus has the highest ratings in its class for protection of new growth. Revus is the only fungicide in Dr Schepers’ list of contact and local systemic products to receive the highest rating of very good effect (+++) for protection of leaf blight and good effect (++) for protection of new growth. The Dutch classification also recognises the curative activity of Revus and the potential to prevent blight sporulation. The +++ rating for rainfastness proposed for Revus will be a further benefit for growers in another wet season, with frequent rainfall creating a high blight risk but limiting spraying opportunities. The Euroblight table is set to be updated to include a listing for Revus after the group’s workshop in Hamar in November this year, following a further year of assessment of performance under practical conditions. |
European and UK trials have confirmed growers’ experience last year that Revus gives outstanding foliar blight control, along with the strength to give good protection from blight infection on an expanding leaf area
