The enthusiasm, experience and innovation of farm sprayer operators can often provide the best answers to the ‘What if …?’ questions that arise each year. The Syngenta Application Club gives sprayer operators the chance to work together, to pioneer new ideas and provide practical on-farm solutions.
How it works
The Syngenta Application Club brings together leading like-minded farm sprayer operators. Meeting as a regional group in early spring, they will discuss the coming season’s issues of particular interest to them, and put forward new ideas to try and to test on their farms.
Working with the help of Syngenta application specialists, trials will test and evaluate application techniques, to find the best practicable options under a range of in-field conditions and crops. In the past, topics have included evaluations such as the effects of water volume, nozzle types, boom heights, forward speed, sprayer filling, alternative crops and new technologies.
At the end of the season, results are gathered and vigorously discussed among the Application Club members. Sharing ideas, experience and knowledge keeps operators up to date with the latest developments and advances, to help everyone improve spray techniques in the future.
Participating in the Syngenta Application Club can also gain both BASIS and NRoSO CPD points.
